Time Released Sound press release:

Maps and Diagrams - the solo project of Tim Martin. To date an enviable back catalogue with releases for such respected sound houses as Static Caravan, Unlabel, Expanding, Smallfish, Awkward Silence and Handstitched* - the latter of which he runs.

One of the finest ambient alchemists in the sphere of modern electronic music, Maps and Diagrams blend delicately formed sound sculptures upon a minimalist ambient palette that are all at once shy, tender, fragile and beguiling.

The release - recorded earlier this year at the Circle Studio. In Circles is Maps and Diagrams second suite for Time Released Sound. Described by its author as his ‘most musical’ opus to date it features a guest appearance by Spain’s I am Dive on the parting Yesterday. Combining frosted hymnals, forlorn lullabies and celestial mirages; In Circles is richly textured and delicately spun.

In Circles will appear in two formats - a strictly limited edition cork digipak hand finished in antique wallpaper and a standard digipak issue. [Time Released Sound, October, 2013].
