Maps and Diagrams "Timbre" Originally released on the Dronarivm imprint in a limited edition of 32 cassettes, now long-since sold out but available digitally, with bonus track (The Sea Garden Of Lost Desire) included in the download.

In common with all of Maps and Diagrams output there is a clear impetus of motion in these imperceptible compositions. As the title knowingly proposes there is a persistent psychoacoustic focus on tone colour and musical accent here, which creates a contemporary auditory experience by concealing unwanted frequencies, causing other frequencies to become enhanced. Timbre presents short resonant sketches of ambient innovation that transport the listener along on a discordant sonic journey that is both distinct and perceptive.
